Prior to Wellesley, Cristi worked in special education for the Natick Public Schools in both mainstream and special needs classrooms. Always interested in art as a means of self-expression and healing, she used art and book-making projects with her students to practice language reinforcement and self-esteem building.

Cristi has exhibited her photographs and multi-media installation work at the Jewett Art Gallery, the Davis Museum’s Collin’s Café Gallery, and The Pendleton-West Studio Gallery at Wellesley College; The Photographic Resource Center at Boston University; and numerous site galleries in and around Wellesley Massachusetts. She has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions and participated and collaborated in various art exhibits and installations with other fine artists.

After Wellesley, Cristi went on to work in Graphic Design and Marketing for the next 12 years, before deciding to open her own art center and studio in Whitinsville, MA in January 2010.

The Creative Arts Studio offers a wide variety of classes and workshops for children, teens, and adults in Book Arts & Decorative Papers, Printmaking, Collage, Paper Arts, 2-D Design, Zentangle, Polymer Clay, Stained Glass, Fused Glass, with more artists and classes being added each month! Cristi also opened the Bella Lucé Art Café, where the Creative Arts Studio is located. The Art Café includes an Art Gallery and a Gift Shop where she supports accomplished, local artists and artisans trying to make a living selling their work.
